Caplen Mound Cemetery
Bolivar Peninsula, Texasaka Indian Burial Ground
This cemetery won't have genealogical importance but I've included it here out of respect for the indigenous peole who lived in the area.

"Caplan Mound is an occupational shell midden and buriel site located on the western edge of modern day Caplen about one-half mile due north of the site of "The Breakers," the oldest pre-Hurricane Ike beach house in Caplen. The site is labeled "Indian graveyard" on the Caplen, USGS 7.5' topographic map. Radiocarbon dates of A.D. 931 +/- 145 years and A. D. 1307 +/- 107 years on skeletal remains indicate the Akokisa people, a local subculture of Atakapans, inhabited Caplen on an at least seasonal basis from about 1100 to 700 B.P. The presence of historic glass trade beads associated with one of the youngest burials, extends that time range to the early historic period and indicates that Akokisa occupation continued during early European interactions less than 500 B.P."
The Caplen burial site was used by natives for several centuries, resulting in a mound. There is a great article on the burials at Texas Beyond History.
