High Island Cemetery

Although this cemetery is in Galveston County, if you're coming from elsewhere, it's easier to get to via I-10. Turn south at Winnie, Texas, onto Highway 124 all the way to High Island and turn right (west) onto 5th Street. A little jig to the left at Gulfway Lane and back onto 5th St, the cemetery is on the left just after the power station. If you're local, cross the ferry and take Highway 87 to Highway 124 and turn left (north) to 5th Street and left again (west).
